Abstract:
An airbag housing of an automobile is provided. The provided airbag housing comprises: a housing body having an opening at one side thereof to delimit a reception part for receiving an airbag in a folded state, the housing body being made of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plastic composite material; and a reinforcement structure injection-molded after insertion of the housing body, so as to surround an outer surface of a bottom part of the housing body and an outer surface of a side part of the housing body, the reinforcement structure being made of a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plastic composite material having a strength lower than that of the housing body. This configuration makes it possible to obtain an airbag housing having a reduced weight and a high strength.
