Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an airbag module with which a housing can be made easy to open when the airbag is inflated and deployed. [Solution] A configuration of an airbag module 100 according to the present invention is characterized by an airbag module comprising an airbag cushion 102 that is folded or wound, an inflator 104 built into the airbag cushion 102, and a housing 110 that is box-shaped and houses the airbag cushion 102. The housing includes: four side walls 112, 114, 116, and 118 having openings on upper sides; and two telescopic walls 120a and 120b that each connects one side wall of the four side walls to two side walls located on both sides of the one side wall, that are in a folded state before the airbag cushion inflates and deploys, and that expand when the airbag cushion inflates and deploys so that the openings on the upper sides of the four side walls expand.
