An airbag for a passenger seat provided with: a first side panel; a second side panel on the side opposite the first side panel; a first center panel having a first side edge section that is on the side of the first side panel, a second side edge section that is on the side opposite the first side edge section, and a first front section that is located between the first side edge section and the second side edge section, and that becomes the passenger-facing side; and a second center panel having a third side edge section that is on the side of the second side panel, a fourth side edge section that is on the side opposite the third side edge section, and a second front section that is located between the third side edge section and the fourth side edge section, and that becomes the passenger-facing side, wherein the second side edge section has a protruding section that protrudes towards the side opposite the first side edge section, and the protruding section is joined to the fourth side edge section so the second front section bulges in relation to the first front section.
