Abstract:
Disclosed is an airbag structure which is a light-weight structure for use in items requiring light-weight properties, such as those worn by human beings or carried by hand, and which is easy to manufacture, is robust and becomes a solid structure when expanded. The airbag lining, made from a synthetic resin non-air permeable tubular member that is linearly flattened in at least the lengthwise direction, expands when air is supplied from an inflater into the lining, and when the non-air permeable lining expands to reach the external skin expansion limit, the lining changes shape in accordance with the expanded shape of the external skin, and forms a puckered conjugate wall in the appropriate places, without cutting off air pathways.
