Abstract:
An airlaid paper through the air laid process forms a three-layers structure: a first layer which mainly comprises cellulose fibers, bicomponent composite fibers and emulsions; a second layer which comprises cellulose fibers and the super absorbent powder (SAP); and a third layer which mainly comprises cellulose fibers, bicomponent composite fibers, the super absorbent powder (SAP) and emulsions. The paper is dusted and finished in the process by two-side emulsions application, it may be used either alone, or in combination with additional airlaid papers or nonwovens as absorbent core of a disposable hygiene article such as sanitary napkin, incontinent pad, and diaper.
