Abstract:
The present invention relates to a technique for a wireless LAN AP controlling uplink/downlink airtime, preferably for each SSID, in a wireless LAN network having the wireless LAN AP and one or more stations connected thereto. More specifically, the present invention relates to a technique for setting a critical time for each preset airtime management cycle (e.g.: 100 msec bitframe), comparing uplink/downlink airtime monitored in real-time with each critical time, and if the monitored airtime exceeds the critical time, accordingly controlling the traffic of a wireless LAN network so that the uplink/downlink airtime is adjusted. According to the present invention, a merit is that uplink/downlink airtime is selectively controlled for each SSID, and thus communication quality (QoS) that is equivalent to or better than a certain degree may be guaranteed to a user who is part of a specific service group (e.g.: a specific SSID).
