Abstract:
An Al alloy with high thermal and electric conductivity and high strength comprises
(in wt%) Mg 0.61-0.65%, Si 0.4-0.45%, rare earth elements 0.11-0.3%, B 0.03-0.10%,
balance Al and inevitable impurities. The alloy is obtained by defining contents
of Mg and Si to more narrow ranges based on 6063 Al alloy and adding misch metal and
alloying element B to the alloy. The alloy is treated to form a complete solution
so as to obtain high strength, and high thermal and electric conductivity.
