Abstract:
An ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer composition capable of giving molded objects having very few fine fish-eyes is provided. The ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer composition comprises an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer and an iron compound, and is characterized in that the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer is a product of saponification of an ethylene/vinyl ester copolymer obtained using, as a polymerization initiator, an organic compound having a 60ºC half-life period of 10-300 minutes and that the content of the iron compound is 0.001-2 ppm in terms of metal amount with respect to the weight of the ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer composition.
