Abstract:
An aldehyde scavenger for polyurethane, the aldehyde scavenger containing a reducing agent, a basic compound, an amine-based polymer having amino groups in repeating units, and water. The reducing agent preferably is a complex metal hydride, and more preferably is sodium borohydride. The amine-based polymer having amino groups in repeating units preferably is at least one amine-based polymer selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl amines, polyvinyl alkyl amines, polyalkylene imines, polyaniline, and salts of these.
