Abstract:
The present application relates to an aldehyde-substituted hyaluronic acid derivative modified with a gallol group, and a use thereof. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the aldehyde-substituted hyaluronic acid derivative modified with a gallol group greatly reduces the extrusion force required for injections as compared to conventional gallol group-modified hyaluronic acid-based hydrogels, such that the change in internal pressure within the fascia during intramuscular injection is small, and thus can minimize the pain caused by intramuscular injection. Therefore, the aldehyde-substituted hyaluronic acid derivative modified with a gallol group can minimize the pain and stress in elderly patients caused by repeated drug administration and improve the quality of life of the patients, and can deliver extracellular matrices derived from various tissues, and thus can be applied to drug delivery, tissue sutures, and therapeutic agents.
