Abstract:
In order to efficiently control microalgae and moss that cause problems in plant factories, intelligent smart farms, fish farms, living spaces, urban agriculture, etc., which are emerging as new industries, new alternative products that are safer and have excellent control effects compared to existing compounds are desperately in demand. The present invention relates to an algicidal composition containing, as an active ingredient, a 1-(1-halovinyl)arene compound having microalgae control activity with little damage to plants. The present invention effectively controls various microalgae while exhibiting very high levels of safety for all higher plants including cultivated crops and Lemnaceae plants that are representative saprophyte. Accordingly, it is expected that the present invention will make a big contribution to industries by providing a means to more efficiently control microalgae that cause problems in smart farms, living and exhibition spaces, and urban agriculture, which are emerging as new industries.
