Disclosed is an alignment device comprising: a pedestal; a movement mechanism that can move a moving member in relation to the pedestal in a direction parallel to predetermined surface and can rotate said moving member around the vertical axis of this surface; a fixing jig detachably fixed to the moving member and that fixes a columnar honeycomb structure; a pedestal-side mask fixing member that is fixed to the pedestal and which detachably fixes the mask to a position facing an end surface of the honeycomb structure; and a fixing jig-side mask fixing member that is fixed to the fixing jig and can fix the mask. This allows the honeycomb structure and the mask to be conveyed after alignment and in an aligned state, and improves alignment efficiency.
