Abstract:
Provided is a glass composition which does not contain lead oxides and alkali metal oxides, has a glass-transition temperature of 530°C or less, and exhibits acid resistance. Also provided is a light extracting member using the aforementioned glass composition. Specifically provided is an alkali-free cover glass composition which: substantially does not contain lead oxides and alkali metal oxides; has a refractive index (nd) between 1.7 and 2.3, a glass-transition temperature of 530°C or less, and a melt depth of less than 1.3 µm when measured by means of an acid immersion weight reduction measurement method; and contains 8 to 25 mol % of Nb2O5 in terms of the oxide content.
