Abstract:
Disclosed is an alkali metal introduction apparatus (1) which is supplied for experiments in which alkali metals are used. The alkali metal introduction apparatus (1) comprises: a dedicated crushing chamber (10) and a vacuum chamber (20); vacuum pumps (60a, 60b) which evacuate the insides of the dedicated crushing chamber (10) and the vacuum chamber (20); an ampoule crushing unit (18) which deforms an ampoule (16) in which an alkali metal is sealed so as to expose the alkali metal to outside of the ampoule (16), inside the crushing chamber (10); a collision cell (40) which is provided inside the vacuum chamber (20) and into which the ampoule (16) can be introduced; and an ampoule introduction unit (12) which moves the ampoule (16) between an exposure position where the alkali metal sealed in the ampoule (16) is exposed to outside of the deformed ampoule (16), and an introduction position where the ampoule (16) is introduced to the collision cell (40). An alkali metal introduction apparatus which is excellent in terms of usability can therefore be provided.
