Abstract:
The invention is an alkaline battery 1a of the inside-out type comprising, disposed inside a bottomed cylindrical battery can 2 doubling as a positive electrode collector, a positive electrode mixture 3 containing a positive electrode active substance and molded into a ring shape, wherein the battery can has a plating layer 23 comprising a nickel cobalt alloy formed at a superficial layer on the inner surface thereof, and the positive electrode mixture contains, as the positive electrode active substance, manganese dioxide whereof the alkaline-based voltage is between 270 mV and 290 mV inclusive, while containing, at a proportion of between 4% by weight and 6% by weight inclusive relative to the positive electrode active substance, a conductive auxiliary agent comprising graphite.
