Abstract:
This alkaline dry battery comprises: a case having an opening; a power generation element that is contained within the case together with an alkaline electrolyte solution; and a sealing unit that seals the opening of the case and has a gasket which is mainly composed of a polyamide resin. The gasket comprises a thin portion that functions as an explosion-proof valve. The polyamide resin contains a first polyamide resin and a second polyamide resin which has the same monomer unit chemical structure as the first polyamide resin, while having a number average molecular weight smaller than that of the first polyamide resin.
