Abstract:
Provided is an alkaline fuel cell having a long service life, in which any decrease in performance is minimized. An alkaline fuel cell provided with: an anion-exchange electrolyte membrane; an anode including an anion-exchange electrolyte and a catalyst provided on one surface of the anion-exchange electrolyte membrane; and a cathode including an anion-exchange electrolyte and a catalyst provided on the other surface of the anion-exchange electrolyte membrane; the alkaline fuel cell being characterized in that the anion-exchange electrolyte membrane or the anion-exchange electrolyte used in the anode or the anion-exchange electrolyte used in the cathode comprises an electrolyte having sulfonyl bonds and a cross-linked structure.
