Abstract:
Provided are: a novel alkoxycinnamic acid ester polymer which is expected to provide a retardation film having excellent optical properties such as a high refractive index in the thickness direction of the film, a high out-of-plane retardation, having a high out-of-plane retardation even when the film is thin, and the like; and a retardation film using the same. The alkoxycinnamic acid ester polymer is characterized by containing alkoxycinnamic acid ester residue units.
