Abstract:
The surface of an Ir-based alloy material or a Ru-based alloy material is covered uniformly with an Ir-Al intermetallic compound coating film or a Ru-Al intermetallic compound coating film, wherein the Ir-based alloy material or the Ru-based alloy material comprises Ir or Ru and at least one element selected from Al, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Tc, Hf, Ta, W and Re in such an amount that no precipitated phase is generated.
