Title:
ALLOY AND MULTILAYER STEEL PIPE HAVING CORROSION RESISTANCE IN ENVIRONMENT FOR BURNING FUEL CONTAINING V, Na, S and Cl
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1995/024512
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention provides a high corrosion resistance steel pipe as a boiler pipe, etc., used for equipment which burns fossil fuels or trash for use as an energy source. The present invention provides an alloy comprising not greater than 0.05 % of C, 1.0 to 2.6 % of Si, 0.02 to 0.5 % of Mn, 20 to 28 % of Cr, 24 to 36 % of Ni, not greater than 4 % of Mo, not greater than 0.4 % of Nb, not greater than 0.05 % of Al and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities, satisfying the following formulas, and having corrosion resistance in an environment for burning a fuel containing V, Na, S and Cl, and a multilayer steel pipe using this alloy as a liner material and a standard boiler steel pipe as a base layer material: Ni (Cr + 2Si + 0.5Mo), Nb 8C, Mo(Cr - 18) 8.
