Abstract:
In a method for extracting an alloy powder for a rare earth magnet wherein a reduction product containing a rare earth alloy obtained by the reduction diffusing method is washed by introducing the reduction product into a washing water and then the alloy powder was extracted from the washing water, an improvement which comprises washing the reduction product while bubbling the washing water with an inert gas or while applying a rotating magnetic field or vibrating magnetic field to the reduction product; and an improvement which comprises extracting the alloy powder for a rare earth magnet while applying a static magnetic field to the reduction product. The improvement prevents the oxidation of the alloy powder for a rare earth magnet through suppressing the increase of dissolved oxygen caused by agitation, and reduces the amount of the alloy powder flowing out together with the washing water.
