Abstract:
The present invention provides: an alloy steel for a rolling bearing component with which it is possible to obtain insulation performance solely through a normal steel material heating process without forming an oxide coating using a dedicated processing liquid or using a ceramic rolling element in which insulation performance is ensured; and a raceway ring for a rolling bearing, a rolling bearing, and a method for manufacturing a raceway ring for a rolling bearing in which said alloy steel for a rolling bearing component is used. This alloy steel for a rolling bearing component contains, by weight, 1.0-1.5% of C, 0.2-2.0% of Si, 0.2-2.0% of Mn, 1.0-9.0% of Cr, 1.5-6.0% of Mo, 0.01-5.0% of Al, 0.2% or less of Ti+Zr, and 0.01-0.5% of at least one element from among V and Nb, with the remainder made up by Fe and unavoidable impurities. In this raceway ring for a rolling bearing in which the alloy steel is used, the surface thereof is coated by an oxide coating containing iron oxide or a variety of elements.
