Title:
ALLOY STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ALLOY STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/013498
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an alloy structure containing Fe, and at least four elements which are selected from elements of atomic number 13 to atomic number 79 included in Group 3 to Group 16 of the periodic table of the elements and for which the ratio of the atomic radius thereof to that of the Fe atom is 0.83-1.17, inclusive, in respective concentrations of 5-30 at%, inclusive, the difference in concentration of at least four elements among the Fe and the at least four elements being within a range of less than 3 at%. The host crystals are columnar crystals of Fe and the at least four elements in solid solution, and the alloy contains as unavoidable impurities no more than 0.005 wt% of P, no more than 0.040 wt% of Si, no more than 0.002 wt% of S, no more than 0.005 wt% of Sn, no more than 0.002 wt% of Sb, no more than 0.005 wt% of As, no more than 0.050 wt% of Mn, no more than 0.001 wt% of O, and no more than 0.002 wt% of N, expressed as atomic concentration ranges. The alloy structure thereby has highly uniform distributions of elemental composition and mechanical strength, and good high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance.
