Abstract:
An alloy having high amorphous formability comprising 20 to 85 at% in total of elements
(A) whose atomic radiuses are less than 0.145nm, 10 to 79.7at% in total of elements
(B) whose atomic radiuses are 0.145nm to less than 0.17nm, and 0.3 to 15at% in total
of elements (C) whose atomic radiuses are 0.17nm or above, characterized in that
when element (a) refers to one of the elements (A) which has the highest content
among the elements (A), element (b) refers to one of the elements (B) which has
the highest content among the elements (B), and element (c) refers to one of the
elements (C) which has the highest content among the elements (C), element (a)
(such as Zn and/or Al), element (b) (such as Mg), and element (c) (such as Ca) account
for at least 70at% of the total content of the elements (A), the total content of
the elements (B), and the total content of the elements(C) respectively and the
enthalpy of formation of a liquid between any two selected from among elements (a),
(b) and (c) is negative.
