Abstract:

The inventive alternating current plasma panel and the method for controlling said panel are used for developing means for data displaying on alternating current colour plasma panels providing high quality of displayed data, increased resolution capacity and contrast and reliable control. The inventive method consists in grouping adjacent display elements for the same emission colour having a common scanner electrode which is embodied in the form of two electrical conductors and a common indicator electrode. The preparatory mode is carried out in an additional discharge gap between the electrical conductors of the common scanner electrode.
