Abstract:
This aluminum alloy foil has a compositional makeup including 0.5 mass% or less of Si, 0.2-2.0 mass% of Fe, and more than 1.5 mass% but not more than 5.0 mass% of Mg, the remaining portion being Al and unavoidable impurities. In the aluminum alloy foil, the ratio of the length L1 of a high angle grain boundary and the length L2 of a low angle grain boundary per unit area as measured by an electron backscatter diffraction method satisfies L1/L2>3.0.
