Abstract:
The present invention provides an aluminum alloy forged product having excellent fatigue characteristics at room temperature. This aluminum alloy forged product contains 0.15-1.0 mass% of Cu, 0.6-1.35 mass% of Mg, 0.95-1.45 mass% of Si, 0.4-0.6 mass% of Mn, 0.2-0.7 mass% of Fe, 0.05-0.35 mass% of Cr, 0.012-0.035 mass% of Ti, 0.0001-0.03 mass% of B, at most 0.25 mass% of Zn, and at most 0.05 mass% of Zr, with the remainder comprising Al and unavoidable impurities. The aluminum alloy forged product has a structure in which the average value of the shortest distance to the crystal grain boundary from the precipitate, in which the crystal grain size in a maximum principal stress-applied portion of the aluminum alloy forged product is 20-40 μm, and the major diameter in a cross-sectional structure having a visual field area of 8000 μm2 is at least 0.1 μm, is 0.1 μm to 2.0 μm, and also has a fatigue life of at least 6 × 106 under a load stress of 150 MPa in terms of fatigue characteristics at room temperature.
