Abstract:
One embodiment according to the present invention relates to an aluminum alloy for semi-solid forging, the technical issue to be addressed being improving the tensile strength and elongation percentage, compared to the existing material, by controlling the amount of alloying elements, such as Si, Cu, Mn and Mg, during semi-solid forging. To that end, disclosed is one embodiment of the present invention for a 6000-series aluminum alloy for semi-solid forging containing, in weight percent, 0.6-1.2% of Si, 0.2% or less of Fe, 0.1-0.4% of Cu, 0.2-0.4% of Mn, 0.6-1.0% of Mg, 0.2-0.4% of Cr, and 0.2% or less of Zn, the rest being Al.
