Abstract:
The present invention provides an aluminum chip melting apparatus that melts chips, which are aluminum metal or alloy cuttings, to obtain molten aluminum. This aluminum chip melting apparatus is characterized by being provided with: a centrifugal oil-water separating apparatus that reduces oily water in the cutting oil adhering to aluminum chips; a drying/preheating means for eliminating water in the cutting oil adhering to the aluminum chips; a charging means for charging the dried/preheated aluminum chips into the molten metal in a crucible melting furnace; an aluminum melting means for melting the dried/preheated aluminum chips using the crucible melting furnace, and producing molten aluminum; and an oil gasification combustion means for gasifying the oil remaining in the dried/preheated aluminum chips using the crucible melting furnace, and burning the result with a combustion burner.
