Abstract:
Disclosed is a clad material which is obtained by diffusion bonding an aluminum layer (1) and a copper layer (2), with an Al-Cu intermetallic compound layer (3) being interposed therebetween. When the average crystal grain size of the crystal grains in the central portion (C1) in the thickness direction of the copper layer (2) is represented by Dcc and the average crystal grain size of the crystal grains in a near interface portion (C2) within the copper layer, said near interface portion (C2) being 0.5 μm apart from the interface between the copper layer (2) and the intermetallic compound layer (3), is represented by Dcs, Dcs ≤ 0.5 × Dcc is satisfied. The intermetallic compound layer (3) has an average thickness of 0.5-10 μm.
