Title:
ALUMINUM FIN MATERIAL FOR HEAT EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/142137
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an aluminum fin material for a heat exchanger, which is less susceptible to become frosted. Specifically, disclosed is an aluminum fin material provided with a substrate formed from aluminum or aluminum alloy, and at least one surface treatment film disposed on the surface of said substrate, wherein at least one of the surface treatment films contains a frost inhibitor selected from among at least one anti-freezing agent, at least one antifreeze protein, and a mixture of the anti-freezing agent and the antifreeze protein. As a consequence, the aluminum fin material exerts a frost inhibiting property in which frost or ice is less likely to form on the surface of the fin of an outdoor heat exchanger even when the outer temperature decreases to a temperature in which the water vapor would attach to the fin surface as frost or ice, instead of as water, in other words, even when the outer temperature falls to the freezing point (congealing point).
