Abstract:
Provided is a PPARγ activator which contains, as an active ingredient, a water extract of a colored onion that contains 70 mg or more of quercetin glycoside per 100 g of the fresh edible part in weight. A pharmaceutical product, food and drink each containing the PPARγ activator are useful for prophylaxis, treatment or amelioration of lifestyle-related diseases, metabolic syndrome, menopausal disorders and osteoporosis.
