Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for selectively, easily, and highly sensitively quantifying amino acids of interest using an aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (AARS), and an amino acid quantification kit. The present invention relates to an amino acid quantification method for quantifying an amino acid in a sample using an AARS, the method being characterized in that from an aminoacyl-AMP-AARS-tRNA complex having been formed, AA and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of AARS, AARS-tRNA complex and tRNA are released, and the resulting compounds are reused to form the aminoacyl-AMP-AARS-tRNA complex, so as to eventually obtain pyrophoric acid or other such reaction product subject to measurement in an amount exceeding the number of moles of tRNA and/or the amino acid in the reaction liquid. The present invention also relates to an amino acid quantification kit, or the like, serving to implement said method.
