Abstract:
Provided is an aminoanthracene derivative represented by formula (1) and having an end substituent, e.g., a dibenzofuran ring, bonded in a position other than the 2-position to the anthracene through a nitrogen atom. Also provided is an organic electroluminescent element which comprises a cathode and an anode and, disposed therebetween, one or more organic thin film layers comprising a luminescent layer, at least one of the organic thin film layers containing the aminoanthracene derivative. The organic electroluminescent element has a long life and a high luminescent efficiency.
