Abstract:
Aminostyrylanthracene compounds of the general formula [I] [wherein R?2¿ is unsubstituted aryl; R?1¿ is aryl which may be substituted with one or more members selected from among various groups; and R?3¿ to R?5¿ are each hydrogen, cyano, hydrocarbyl, or the like]. These compounds can be prepared by condensing the corresponding aminobenzaldehydes with the corresponding phosphonic esters or phosphonium salts.
