Abstract:
A controller (30) for an ammonia sensor in an exhaust purification system. The controller (30): calculates, in a continuation period in which ammonia supply to a downstream-side catalyst (22) is continued after a pause of supply of aqueous urea solution by an aqueous urea solution supply device (23), an ammonia concentration on the downstream side of the downstream-side catalyst (22) as a first concentration value on the basis of an output of the ammonia sensor and an output of an oxygen sensor; calculates, in the continuation period, an ammonia concentration on the downstream side of the catalyst as a second concentration value on the basis of an output of a NOx sensor and the output of the oxygen sensor; and determines, on the basis of the first concentration value and the second concentration value, whether there is anomaly in the ammonia sensor.
