Title:
AMORPHOUS, STRUCTURED, FLAME-INHIBITING UV LIGHT-ABSORBING FILM WHICH IS RENDERED OPAQUE BY DYING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2001055261
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to an amorphous, structured, flame-inhibiting UV light-absorbing film which is rendered opaque by dying and which is made of a crystallizable thermoplastic whose thickness ranges from 30 to 1000 mu m. The film contains at least one pigment, a flame-proofing agent, an optical brightener that is soluble in the thermoplastic, and a UV absorber that is also soluble in the thermoplastic. Said film is characterized by having good optical properties due to the provision of at least one structured surface and by the absorption of short-wave UV light with wavelengths shorter than 380 nm. The invention also relates to a method for producing the film and to the use thereof.
