Abstract:
The present invention relates to an amphibious bicycle, more specifically to an amphibious bicycle comprising: a frame including handlebars installed on the top of one end thereof; first buoyant members installed under both sides of the handlebars; a saddle installed on the middle top of the frame; an auxiliary saddle installed on the top of the rear end of the frame; second buoyant members installed on both sides of the auxiliary saddle; a front wheel installed on the lower part of one side of the frame; a rear wheel installed on the lower part of the other side of the frame; and pedals installed on the lower part of the middle of the frame. As the first buoyant members and first auxiliary buoyant members are installed under the handlebars and the second buoyant members and second auxiliary buoyant members are installed on both sides of the auxiliary saddle, the amphibious bicycle can float stably on the water while maintaining lateral balance. Also, a plurality of partitions included on the bottom of the pedals continuously thrust the water backward as the pedals rotate. Thereby, the propulsion force of the amphibious bicycle increases due to the reaction force of the thrust force by the partitions.
