Abstract:
Provided is a thrill ride-type amusement park facility which converts kinetic energy arising from free sliding into an unpredictable and irregular motion, and which makes a user thereof feel a physical sensation of that motion while assuring the safety of the user. This amusement park facility (1) is provided with: a downward slope (2); two cables (3) that are laid such that the width interval between the two cables (3) increases with an increase in distance from a first end (31) of the cables toward a second end (32) thereof; two suspension wires (4), the upper ends (41) of which are slidably connected to the respective cables (3); a cage (5) which is rotatably connected to the respective lower ends of the suspension wires (4), and which is capable of sliding on and lifting off the downward slope (2). After sliding down the downward slope (2) and lifting off therefrom, the cage (5) glides in the air while being suspended from the suspension wires (4) via the cables (5), and is capable of making a swinging and/or a rotational motion in response to an external force being exerted thereon.
