Abstract:

The present invention relates to a UASB bioreactor comprising a main container and an upper container that form a main body, inside which a sludge blanket zone, a separation zone and a gas-liquid-solid separation zone are formed; the main container receives raw water through a feed pipe projecting downwards from the upper part of the main container, forming a closed arrangement that defines a single line with the sludge outlet pipe, wherein the gas-liquid-solid separation zone receives the gases released during the process in a biogas collecting dome having in its top part a discharge crown that is coupled to a clear water outlet pipe and, in the lower part of the discharge crown, a scum outlet pipe.
