Abstract:
The present invention increases the reliability of an analog-digital converter provided with a capacitor. A differential amplifier circuit amplifies the difference between an inputted analog signal and a ramp signal which changes in accordance with the passage of time, and outputs the same as a difference signal. An amplifier element amplifies the difference signal and outputs the same as an amplified signal. A clocking unit clocks the length of a conversion period for the analog signal level to substantially match a ramp signal level on the basis of the amplified signal level, and outputs the same as a digital signal converted from the analog signal. One end of a capacitor is connected to one of an input terminal of the amplifier element and a prescribed connection terminal. During the conversion period, a switch connects the other end of the capacitor to the other of the input terminal and the prescribed connection terminal, and outside the conversion period, separates said other end of the capacitor from the other of the input terminal and the prescribed connection terminal.
