Abstract:
Provided is a radio receiver capable of switching to a noise suppression parameter
appropriate for a sound to be reproduced. The radio receiver includes: a sound
type judging unit (20) for judging the type of sound indicated by an input signal;
and a selection unit (21) for selecting noise suppression parameters such as
a band of an IF filter (10), a stereo blend amount of a stereo blend unit (12), and
a High-Cut amount of a High-Cut unit (13), and a reaction speed of a soft mute unit
(14) according to the type judged by the sound type judging unit (20). The IF filter
(10), the stereo blend unit (12), the High-Cut unit (13), and the soft mute unit
(14) suppress a noise mixed in the input signal according to the noise suppression
parameters selected by the selection unit (21).
