Abstract:
A catheter connector (1), which is an anastomosis assisting tool, comprises a main body part (2) extending in a definite advancing direction and an insertion part (3) disposed at the tip of the main body part (2). The main body part (2), in which a cross section in a plane perpendicular to the advancing direction has an approximately regular shape, is provided with an anastomosis assisting part having a protrusion part protruding outward at the cross section and extending along the advancing direction. The insertion part (3) is provided with a taper part (31) gradually tapered toward the tip. When the insertion part (3) and a part of the main body part (2) are inserted into a blood vessel, the protrusion part (51) abuts the inner wall of the blood vessel at the anastomosis assisting part of the main body part (2). Thus, the inner wall of the blood vessel, excluding the part abutted by the protrusion part (51), hardly sticks to the main body part (2), which facilitates anastomosis at the aforesaid part. As a result, the working efficiency of the vascular anastomosis is improved.
