Title:
ANCHORING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2005080722
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
Lately there has been an increase in attacks on cash dispensing machines that are situated in freely accessible locations. In said attacks, the thieves used vehicles to rip the machines from their anchorages and to transport them away. The invention discloses an anchoring device that can be retrofitted to cash dispensing machines and that effectively impedes or prevents their removal. Flexible wire cables (1) that are attached to the rear wall of the machine via reinforcement elements (7, 8, 8') anchor the machine securely in the foundations so that the machine can be knocked down but not transported away. The necessary retrofitting of cash dispensing machines is cost-effective and does not require complex resources.
