Abstract:
It is intended to provide peptides having an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitory activity and a favorable taste or salts thereof and a process for producing an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor containing at least one of the same. It is also intended to provide remedies for hypertension containing the peptides having an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitory activity. Namely, five peptides represented respectively by the following formulae (1) to (5) or salts thereof; soybean protein digestion products containing the same; and a process for producing these peptides or salts thereof characterized by digesting soybean protein with protease D3. (1) Tyr-Val-Val-Phe-Lys (2) Pro-Asn-Asn-Lys-Pro-Phe-Gln (3) Asn-Trp-Gly-Pro-Leu-Val (4) Ile-Pro-Pro-Gly-Val-Pro-Tyr-Trp-Thr (5) Thr-Pro-Arg-Val-Phe
