The invention relates to a film holder for periapical radiography for obtaining radiographs of intraoral teeth and of a teeth support structure, comprising: a bite unit to be temporarily fixed at teeth; and a film support unit rotatably mounted on the bite unit, and located at the tongue side of the teeth in the mouth, wherein the bite unit comprises a bite body to be bitten by the teeth so as to be fixed at the teeth; and a central shaft horizontally inserted into the side surface of the bite body, wherein the bite body comprises a first teeth contact surface contacted by an upper or lower tooth, and a second teeth contact surface contacted by the other one of the upper and lower tooth. The film support unit comprises: a shaft-receiving portion which accommodates the central shaft, and which is rotatably arranged; and a film support plate physically connected to the shaft-receiving portion so as to rotate around the bite body. The end of the film support plate, which is closer to the central shaft, is maintained at a position closer to the central shaft than at least one of the first and second teeth contact surfaces, thus structurally maintaining the end of the film support plate at the position closer to the central shaft without extension.
