Abstract:
Provided is an angle sensor with which it is possible to analyze the relative positional relationship between objects relevant to detection of an angle while practically applying a known angle detection function. This angle sensor (24) comprises: a measurement unit (44) that measures the strength of magnetism generated by a magnet (32) and that acquires a measurement signal indicating the strength of the magnetism; a selection unit (50) that selectively executes a measurement mode, in which an output signal indicating the relative rotation angle between a first object (12) and a second object (14) is generated from the acquired measurement signal, and an inspection mode, in which an output signal indicating the strength of the magnetism is generated from the measurement signal; and an output unit (62) that outputs the output signal generated according to the mode selection.
