Abstract:
In the present invention, an x-Car-SEBS membrane was developed as a novel anion exchange membrane (AEM) material by chemically cross-linking two polymers with distinct properties, that is, rigid polycarbazole and elastic SEBS. In addition, by controlling the crosslinking degree and the content of the two polymers, namely polycarbazole and SEBS, variations in the physicochemical and electrical properties of the corresponding anion exchange membranes (30-Car-SEBS, 40-Car-SEBS, and 50-Car-SEBS) were observed corresponding to different crosslinking degrees (30%, 40%, and 50%).
