An annular sealing device (5) provided with a core (7) and a seal lip member (8) which is secured to the core and consists of an elastic body, the annular sealing device being mounted between a metal outer member (2) and an inner member (3) which has a flange section (3a), the outer member and the inner member being concentric with each other and rotating about an axis relative to each other. The core is provided with: a fitting circular tube section (71) fitted in the inner peripheral section (2a) of the outer member; an outward facing flange-like section (73) including a contact section (74) in direct contact with a flange section-side end surface (2b) of the outer member; and an inward facing flange-like section (73). The seal lip member includes a lip base section (80) and annular lips (82-85) formed so as to concentrically extend from the lip base section. The annular lips include axial lips (82, 83), an outer cover lip (84) in sliding contact with or located close to the flange section, and a gasket lip (85) in elastic contact, on the outer diameter side of the contact section, with the end surface of the outer member in a state in which the gasket lip is compressed in the axial direction.
