Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an anode layer activation method suitable for application to a metal support cell type solid oxide fuel cell, and a solid oxide fuel cell system. [Solution] A solid oxide fuel cell 210 has a metal support cell 110M for which an anode layer 111A containing nickel, an electrolyte layer 111E, and a cathode layer 111C are laminated on a metal support part 112 made of metal. This anode layer activation method for a solid oxide fuel cell first introduces an oxygen-containing gas OG to the anode layer and oxidizes the nickel (Ni). Next, a hydrogen-containing gas HG is introduced to the anode layer to reduce the oxidized nickel (NiO).
